“ 9th Street never disappoints. We recently celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary and Rachel went above and beyond to make it extra special. From having flowers delivered, my favorite style of wine opened and ready to drink, to ending our night with a chocolate cake. It was the most fabulous dining celebration I’ve ever experienced! ”
“ If you’re looking for somewhere to hold a micro-wedding in central Indiana, let me tell you, this is the place!! The restaurant is just gorgeous and was the perfect size for our small ceremony and dinner. Rachel & Samir were amazing to work with through the whole planning process, and the team went above and beyond with every little detail—setup, music, menus, timeline—everything was incredible and we could not be happier with how the day went. And of course, THE FOOD! 9th Street Bistro serves the best food and drinks we’ve ever had, and it was so much fun getting to plan menus with them and share this special place with our family. HIGHLY RECOMMEND considering this for your small wedding or other events! [photos: Meghan Hofer Photography] ”
“ The menu is unique but accessible. The quality and presentation of the dishes are lovely. The food is delicious. Top notch service. Homey and welcoming ambiance. A gem worth making a drive for they are doing great things here! ”
“ So many wonderful things to say about this place. Staff: they all looked relaxed and happy. They had to time to chat about the menu, the chef, and the restaurant. They looked like they loved their jobs. It is obvious ownership puts a premium on keeping their staff happy. Food: amazing! The variety, the creativity, and the taste of food was great. The desserts were decadent. Chef: Chef Sameer brought out a few dishes himself and came by for a little chit chat as well. Told us about his life and influences. It was great to learn about him. Ambiance: Cozy, and beautiful little place. You walk away happy and refreshed. Cannot recommend this place enough. ”
“ Our meal was perfect! We haven't been in awhile and decided to go during their pop-up ramen special menu night. The spring rolls were the best we've ever had. The tofu miso shoyu ramen and tofu noodle stir fry were both very delicious! ”
“ Exceptional! What a wonderful experience all around! We got the Hushpuppies listed as the "Fried Thing of the Day", Gorgonzola Salad, Tomahawk Pork Chop, Paella Mixta, Pound Cake. Everything was absolutely perfect and so good! Excellent service from everyone there. Very pleasant ambiance. Will definitely make this a regular place to sport dine! ”
“ One of the most charming spots in Hamilton County for a quality meal—from cocktails to entrees, everything was thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor. We had such a great dinner. The vibe in the place is amazing—cozy, relaxed, and welcoming. The cocktails were next level. I started with the “Do You Carrot All?” and it was perfectly balanced with juice, spice, and just the right kick. If you love a spicy cocktail, don’t skip it. Our server went above and beyond with wine pairings that truly complemented each course. We started with the burrata appetizer—so good with the arugula and spicy chili topping. The gorgonzola salad (not pictured) was another highlight easily shareable with four people. We shared a few entrees, and the lamb and chicken dish stood out. The linguine didn’t quite hit the same mark, but it didn’t take away from the overall experience. The linguine was not favored and hate to say this, but probably one of the worst meals if you have never experienced a tahini sauce before. It was very pasty, shrimp was very flavorless We were celebrating a birthday and were surprised with a little treat at the end. Never felt rushed, even on a busy Friday night—just great food, drinks, and company for a solid hour and a half. Can’t wait to go back. ”
“ We had a lovely dinner last night at 9th St. Bistro. We started with the fried thing of the day (corned beef and cabbage egg rolls with housemade thousand island), pickle plate and burratta with bread. All were good, with the sweet heat pickles and egg rolls being particular standouts. Two of my party had the chicken with lemon and both enjoyed it, my husband had the cheese grits and added blackened shrimp, which had excellent flavor, and I had the duck bourgonone, which was delicious. The surprise of my dish was the whipped sweet potatoes, which had an amazing light, sweet texture. We had an assortment of desserts - carrot cake, peanut butter dipped pie, the macadamia bread pudding, and chocolate cherry gelato. All were good, with the carrot cake and gelato being particular hits. One of the reasons I chose this place was because all the reviews talked about the service, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. Everyone was welcoming, and it was clear there is real camaraderie and teamwork happening at 9th St. The environment was warm, relaxed and interesting, with lots of touches that make it clear this restaurant is a personal labor of love and not a corporate investment. I had a wonderful time celebrating my birthday at 9th St Bistro and look forward to returning. ”
